Dear All,
Some of you may have achieved the PMI - ACP certification.
Reading on the internet , I found out that :-
1) One of the advantages of PMI-ACP over CSM is that PMI-ACP tends to cover different agile practices like Lean , Kanban, XP, Scrum , DSDM whereas CSM only concentrates on Scrum.
2) PMI-ACP equips the PM to lead projects in any field - eg construction or manufacturing as opposed to purely managing Software related projects as a CSM .
What are your thoughts regarding PMI-ACP? and is it worth pursuing ? Saving Changes...

I definitely would say that the PMI-ACP is worth pursuing. And certainly supported by the points you shared. The CSM and PSM are Scrum Master certifications. The ACP is a practitioner certification. Saving Changes...

The PMI-ACP is definitely worth to pursue. Agile is an umbrella term while Scrum is an specific Agile Framework. Your PMI-ACP certificate will tell everyone that you will not just stick with any specific agile framework (like CSM) but you are capable of choosing the suitable agile approach, mixing of them (barely agile or traditional and agile) or tailoring them for your projects. First of all, each time I decide to get a certification is for my own estimation about future market demands. Take into account I was one of the first 3 person to get it in the world. I am saying that because to get the certification at this time was totally different than today where you have PMI´s materials on the matter. The key diference of PMI-ACP in my view is: 1-is the most dificult certification to get because you really need practice experience to pass the exam. Why? For example in questions related to sprint duration you will find that different agile based methods do not say the same about that then when you face the question you need to understand what method is about. 2-is a "generalistic" certification that will help you to work with any agile based method. In my case, I have all the related DSDM certifications too but those all related to DSDM only. Saving Changes...
I would suggest waiting on pursuing the ACP for a few months until PMI normalizes their certification roadmap for agile. With the acquisition of Disciplined Agile, there are quite a few certifications which will be launched soon and the relative positioning of those to the ACP is still somewhat nebulous. I've spoken with both Mark Lines and Dave Garrett of PMI regarding this and while they both feel the ACP is still valuable and relevant, it is possible one of the DA certifications might be more valuable.
Given the high cost ($400+ U.S.), I'd hold off for a little while...

I decided to take PMI's recent offer - and $150 rebate - to PMPs for the PMI-ACP. The offer is only valid until December 15, 2019.
