II am convinced that if you want to attend as a speaker at the Global Conference October 17-19, 2020, it is time to do so. Want to know how? Saving Changes...
Dear Sreepathi

If you are thinking of signing up as speakers, I suggest you read (and practice):
Talk Like TED: The 9 Public-Speaking Secrets of the World's Top Minds by Carmine Gallo
and
"TED Talks: The Official TED Guide to Public Speaking" by Chris Anderson
I'll be here hoping for a great success Saving Changes...

I also suggest you read:
"Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges" by Amy Cuddy or check out some of her interventions at TED Saving Changes...
Just to be clear: this is for the TEDTalk part of the conference and not the general conference agenda. Kiron is right that the call for speakers has not been released yet.
I know I'm certainly excited to see what other PMs could talk about!

If you click on the link I shared you can read:
"Give a TED Talk at the Global Conference!
| 17-19 October 2020 | Seattle, Washington, USA "
This email was sent to me by PMI with the following text:
"Dear Luis,
Thank you for the countless inspiring moments that made 2019 another incredible year! We are so appreciative of our supportive PMI membership community. Looking ahead to 2020, PMI has many exciting activities planned…
TED talks feature some of the world's most innovative connectors, creators, and inventors. Will you be next?
Global Conference on 17-19 October, 2020 up to 15 speakers and performers from across the PMI ecosystem will take the stage at an event co-produced in partnership with TED. Those 15 speakers will be hand-selected by TED through an application process based solely on the strength of their ideas. The speakers will also receive training by TED’s world-class speaker coaches to prepare them for the stage. "

Emily, Kiron,
In relation to the topic, the call for speakers for the GC 2020 TED Talk has already been released, a few days ago.
I haven’t seen anything yet as well for GC 2020 General Call for Speakers.

Yes, I did read that but the TED track is a side track of the conference and not the core conference agenda. I didn't want to confuse people as you mention: "II am convinced that if you want to attend as a speaker at the Global Conference October 17-19, 2020, it is time to do so."
And to me this means the core part of the conference rather than TED.

For the sake of the curators... a TED is supper different than a traditional speaker application/selection and preparation than to be speaker for the Global Conference.
Emily, agree with you. Thank you for adding this, the skill-set and preparation is super different.
