Hello Community,
probably most of you are familiar with the PMBoK Guide and the processes, tools&techniques described there.
I would like to hear which of you also strictly adhere to it in your daily work.
In this post, I'm especially interested in the Project Management Plan.
Do you work strictly according to PMBoK Guide guidelines/recommendations, or maybe you have a self-developed methodology in your organization based on PMI/PMBoK Guide principles?
I would like to hear your opinion on this and what experiences you have made with it in daily practice.

The PMBOK is a guide and everyone customizes their project management plan in the way the suites their project needs which technically should be in line of the best management practices.
There should be no strict adherence nor I have every strictly adhered to any guide to do the PM Plan. I definitely take the guides into consideration one way or another but I also count on my experience and lessons learned.
Happy Holidays.

Never adopt/followed the strict rules. All are tailored approach. Say that which is actually necessary only working with that. Giving example in below:
We have been tailoring in one way or the other, long before PMBOK embraced the concept. The level of tailoring may be industry specific but customizing the plan and documents is a must-do to get the most value out of them. Otherwise the PM would be the only one writing and using those for his own amusement. Saving Changes...
