Recently me and my so many colleague friends are facing the Problems for PMP Auditing Process... our group is registered in September 2015 and become PMI Member, and had a Project management 35 hours of training and get 35 PDU's. After that we gave exam for two times (in 1st attemp I met with an accident before 1 month of Exam but i tried and managed & gave the exam) but unfortunately we couldn't clear the exam till date.
Now as per new Audit guidelines we required our Past Project Focal Point review and signature which is sometimes difficult to find as the Project Person is not available / left the Job / In another country.
1) How can we Manage this situation to fullfill PMI Auditing Process...??? 2) Is it necessary to going through the Audit Process as we have already clear the Audit in 2015 and became eligible to give PMP exam...??? 3) Can we take current company/organizations authorised persons signature and Complete Auditing Process...??? 4) Submission of the Experience Verification Form(s) Faxed or scanned forms will not be accepted as the forms need to be placed in a sealed and signed envelope for security purposes. No substitutions will be accepted...…..??? Kindly Explaing this...!!! 5) Do we have to attach our Experience letter, Project details or anything else required to be attach for submission of auditing Process...??? Saving Changes...
I recently went through the same audit process, but I did everything a 100% online. As we speak I have been cleared and about to schedule my exam. Sounds like there's a part where you're trying to submit someone's authorization physically....I think you should go ahead and do the submission of your experiences and information regarding your supervisor/manager completely online. Ofcourse you will need to provide the details of your supervisor/manager for verification purposes.
Good luck Saving Changes...

In the case of verification from individuals no longer available, contact PMI directly to discuss. I, too, was audited. It is certainly nerve-wracking, but manageable. I had contacted PMI with some questions and concerns. They took time to explain my options, etc.
As for whether the audit process is required. That is dependent on if you get an email notice from PMI stating an impending audit.
Yes, the returned audit must be sealed. This is to avoid any foul paly and to ensure the manager signed form is not tampered with.
Again, a simple call will clear these questions up for you

I will respond to your concerns from my experience, I am not talking on behalf of PMI:
From 2015 till 2019, it’s been 4 years so yes, it is possible to be audited as the system randomly chooses applications for audit.
As for the letter of experience, I believe audit details and instructions mention that if the reference person you named in your application is not available anymore to sign, others who can verify your experience can sign the letter for you. When you are audited, you normally have to attach:
- Copy of your university degree or diploma, if applicable. - Proof of course / 35 PDU’s - Signed and sealed reference letter. This is normally ready and all you need to do is have it signed by your reference or someone who can verify your experience, seal it in an envelope, have the person sign the outside of the letter (on the seal). - Courier or mail, the package to the address they provide you with.
If everything you claimed in your application is correct, I don’t see why you should have a problem with submitting all necessary documentation. I was audited at some point for one of the exams and I managed to complete the package and courier it next day.
I also suggest you call PMI, or chat with them (When you are audited, they usually provide you with a chat box when you open on your audit package). They will respond to you in timely manner, at least this was my experience.
