Craig - PSM II was a priority because you think it's important to achieve this certification nowadays or just for personal reasons.
George, don't be so formal, call me Andrew :)

From my perspective and with my recent and more so with my current role, a combination of both.

I felt it was important to showcase a level of commitment and knowledge in obtaining the second level certification. As a consultant, Agile Coach, and leader, internally and within the client's organization, optically, it helps to stand out and demonstrate a deeper level of understanding and applicability.

From a personal level, I wanted to prove to myself I had the knowledge and experience to earn this second-level certification. I have now been directly working in Scrum for a few years and wanted to now demonstrate what I have learned. I had skirted the idea, for various reasons, but with the holiday break and extra focus time, decided to go for it!
