I'm interested in any information sources that people might know about regarding the cost to set up a project management system for a major construction project (>$200MM). I mean more than just scheduling tools but full workflow management including materials management, etc. Do people normally purchase full customized systems or do they stitch together in-house applications with their own IT departments? you can use an ASP solution like OmniSpace for between $50-100 per user per month.
OmniSpace stitches together alot of the different tools you need (proj. mgt/doc mgt/collaboration/workflow) for you. It has a configurable process management/workflow module that they will use to model any industry-specific process.
we're using it for a petroleum pipeline project. Saving Changes...

Might I suggest that anonymous posts with recommendations for a particular site or vendor be taken with a grain of salt? Please, if you are a user and want to make a recommendation, reveal your secret identity....
Of course, if you are simply adding a gentle suggestion for posters to the list, I guess you can be excused for a little discretion. Saving Changes...
