Can Agile Project Management be applied to non IT projects?

I have been reading alot about agile project management, but can it be applied to non IT projects?

Agile PM is one of the framework for project management. Definitely, Agile PM can be applied to non IT projects!

PMI PMP is applied in construction industry and also in software!

There are certain parts of Agile that can definitely apply to non-IT projects. I highlighted a few examples in the article below:

This is a software example using a Waterfall SDLC but some of the key management concepts around communication and scope management remain. The daily stand ups, focus on incremental delivery, and relying more on communication than reams of documentation can be accelerators for a project.
