Did you know that PMI has just published the:
"The Standard Practice for Project Estimating - Second Edition focuses on providing models for the project management profession in both plan-driven and adaptive change-driven (agile) life cycles"
and
"The Standard for Earned Value Management is an update and expansion upon PMI's reference, The Standard Practice for Earned Value Management — Second Edition" Saving Changes...

Luis
Thanks for the info.
I was aware of both of standards and there was a Final Exposure draft review announcement published on pm.com inviting members to review and comment but I had a lot of personal issues going on at that time and did not participate. However, in 2019, I did participate in the review of two practice standards:
1) Practice Standard for Scheduling
2) Practice Standard for Work Breakdown Structure
Both were published in 2019 and it feels great to see your name in those standards as part of the Final Exposure Draft reviewers team.
I know Sergio and Kiron both participated in the review of multiple standards too.

Dear Rami
Good to have you here :-)
It is always very gratifying to see our name in relevant publications or from institutions like PMI
Just keep going forward
I may volunteer for the next editions of PMBOK Guide :-)
I was excited about the publication of both standards
Did you read PMNetwork this month?

I've done a quick review of both of the new editions of the Practice Standards. I especially like the inclusion of agile/hybrid considerations in the Earned Value one as well as the comprehensive coverage of estimating techniques in the Project Estimating one.
The one topic which they could have spent a lot more time on in the Estimating one was the "human" side of estimation. There are a few pages referencing biases such as anchoring, but a whole book could be written on the psychology supporting good/bad estimates.
They also referenced "Planning Poker" when the term "Estimating Poker" should have been used. The former is a registered trademark of Mike Cohn's company Mountain Goat Software.
My issue of PM Network has finally arrived so I'll read it in the next day or two and comment on their 2020 forecasts...

I kind of had the same impression.
Re- the human factor side of estimation is indeed a very important topic that should be expanded in more details.
