Meeting deadlines for a customer is always a challenge, especially when the Build of Materials is consistently in flux. Providing service according to SLAs is also important. Seeing as you work for DXC, you probably understand this better than most people.

My priority is to really make sure we account properly for all support Purchase Orders. That is the biggest opportunity I have this year that will directly impact my project.

Continuing to deal with stakeholders who were extreme blockers last year is going to be my biggest challenge and my priority will be to navigate through this challenge and still make my project a success .

Maybe The new year means a fresh perspective and a different way of handling such stakeholders. Maybe it's time to accept that if the other person will not change their behavior, it's time for me to change something in my approach?

My project management challenge is educating the project management team. Many of them are senior managers and they tend to have an organizational, rather than project, mindset. I have to explain that project risks and issues must affect project, not organizational, outcomes.

They also don't like closing issues, wanting to keep them open "just in case". In hindsight, we should have set out a resolution criterion so we could clearly know when the issue is resolved and, thus, can be closed.

What are your challenges, George?

Stephane,
Aside from hoping the economy stays stable enough to maintain our PM Jobs, it is to try to keep work/life balanced enough as I can.

My challenge continues to be finding that "one project" where I can start a project management career. I've been looking for 5 years.

For this year, I'm going to try to plan to start a freelance or consulting gig because the job search hasn't been successful.

I'm still debating this internally though.
