We are in the final stages of vendor selection between these two PPM products. We recently facilitated a half day with each vendor and our stakeholder community. The presentation was set up as a "day in the life" of a project. We are now interested in hearing real-life experiences anyone might have with these products.

Key requirements for us are:
.01 project and portfolio reporting
.02 project workflow - initiating, approving at stage-gates, etc.
.03 project management capability

Any insight is appreciated...

We use Daptiv at IHG. I have been very happy with the application with the key for us being in its flexibility. We use a custom methodology that blends elements from Agile, RUP, various other 6-Sigma and PMBOC concepts into a blended methodology with unique stage gates and requirements and Daptiv has been able to handle it just fine. Reporting is really one of Daptiv's strong suits and if you are interested I can show you some of the exstensive reports we have created. We do not use Daptiv's built-in workflow elements for stage gate approval so I cannot comment on that part.

Thanks for the replies!

Jay - I left a message. If you are pressed for time, please respond via email to [email protected]

Colin - I'd be interested in seeing the level of customization you were able to accomplish in Daptiv. Please forward samples to [email protected]. We also have a somewhat unique methodology, so good to have the flexibility feature validated.
