Destiny OlivasIT Project Manager| Washington CountyHillsboro, Or, United States
Hello - I need your help. I am a Public Sector IT Project Manager and I am looking for feedback on Change Management Training/Certification for a small PMO. Do you have any suggestions? What are some pros and cons abut Prosci? What about a CCMP certificate? Any suggested vendors?
In November 2019, I participated in the e-learning pilot program, called the ChangeFit 360 Change Management e-Learning Pilot, organized by Michelle Yanahan (ChangeFit360). I completed five e-learning modules (22.5 PDUs), including reviewing the ACMP's standards for Change Management (a prerequisite for the CCMP certification) - I was delighted with the quality of the course.
Michelle is an ACMP Qualified Education Provider, and she is Prosci ADKAR certified as well.
In the past, Michelle conducted a few webinars for project management practitioners, such as Change Success: Driving Outcomes that Matter (September 2018), Change for Project Leaders: Making the Case (September 2019).
You can visit the website (ChangeFit360), and reach out to Michelle on Linkedin too.

Prosci training is good, and teaches/provides helpful tools. If your goal is to enhance your project management skill set with change management, as opposed to a career transition or change management certification, Acuity Institute has an online change management professional course that is less expensive and provides more general knowledge that is more easily applied to the project manager role.
I still recommend Prosci's training, just look closely at what you want to do with the training before you decide.

Thanks for your feedback, Aaron. Given that I am semi-retired, this would definitely fit in the additional skills camp.
