I attended my 1st PMI Global last year in Pennsylvania where I expanded my learning and became excited about other PMI events. I saw an EMEA 2020 coming up in Prague and wondered where is the Asia Pacific Congress in 2020? Does that not receive as much publicity or attendance? Jeremy, there used to be regional conferences in LA and AP alternating every year. Not sure how this will be planned for 2020 and beyond and I did not see a 2020 AP congress/conference either.
There is now an annual PMI Africa conference though, you might consider this. Attended it once - it is a gem and different as it should be. It is not in the list of PMI events though. https://pmiafricaconference.com/
For AP, it seems it is a region not quite as coherent as EMEA, so there are national Indian and Chinese conferences, also Japan does something separately. All of these are quite the size of the EMEA conference or larger.
For LA, the conference was called PMI Cono Sur, though I have not seen any announcement for 2020 yet. Saving Changes...
