Is the process of the following scenario "Validate Scope"? If not, why?

Your project is complete and the product is ready to be delivered. The client inspects the deliverable and accepts it. What process is this?
(a) Close procurement
(b) Close project
(c) Validate scope
(d) Verify scope

Since the project is completed, this should be the final product to be approved, hence I would go for b.
You validate scope for all interim or partly deliverables during the run of the project.

Dear Saf,

When the project is complete and the product is ready to be delivered the accept process done in validate scope also inspection done in this process. However reviewing the accept done at closing project and phase ( Input to the 4.7 process).
Thus I am prefer to choose the option C.

Pls also remember that there is no verify scope (its an old terminology cames from PMBOK 3rd Edition).
BR,
Mansour

Validate Scope: Assuring that a product, service, or system meets the needs of the customer and other identified stakeholders.

Verify Scope: The process of formalizing acceptance of the completed project deliverables.

In your case, since the project is ready to be delivered, it is verifying scope.

Saf, I stand corrected, Mansour has it right, it is C.

B would mean the 4.7. close project process which does not include approvals, and regarding the final product it includes transition.

The process 5.5. Validate scope includes formally approving deliverables, which meet the acceptance criteria, using inspection as a tool.

Verification of deliverables according to PMBoK ed 6 is done in the 8.3 control quality process. Verification there means to determine the correctness of deliverables, with several tools at hand, including testing and (again) inspections.

Likewise, I stand corrected as well if we refer to the PMBOK but in real life, you actually verify scope and get customer upon through this process as well.
