Using my phone is a measure to fill in a gap. You are correct, the power we have in our pocket with these devices is incredible. However, the usability with size and typing is still a challenge with anything but simple communication; emails, chat, and viewing documents.
I much prefer my tablet or laptop if available.

Most software are better used on tablet or laptop, screen size help.
For Plangrid, you benefit from the phone's small size. You can walk a construction site and take pictures and link then to the plan with comments. Then once on a bigger screen complete the work.

Thanks Luis -
I missed one - OneNote. Less to take notes but more to consult info which I am likely to otherwise forget- that tends to happen more the older I get :-)

Dear Kiron
Thank you for sharing with us how you use OneNote :-)
I think actively managing projects using a smart phone is not best practices. There is a difference between checking emails, status, deliverables and schedule using your smart and cloud based technologies and using your phone to make edits, changes and updates to project plans, schedules and deliverables. Also It looks unprofessional to clients using such technology as it looks a bit amateurish and unprofessional.
Clients visual representation of you is the only thing they have to go on in the initial stages of a project that can build trust. Reputation, experience and knowledge only goes some way to building trust and lines of communication to clients in the initial stages of a project so I would use the appropriate method of communication when required.
