Are the Training Contact Hours for New PMP Exam Changing?

I'm being asked if the 35 contact hours of PM training will change with the new exam. Does anyone have an idea on this? I thought I'd read somewhere that the application is changing, but the 35 hours of PM training will be the same

I think you are correct, however I wonder if the way to attribute your experience hours will need to change due to the new exam outline. Will it change when the exam changes, or when the PMBOK changes? But I'd like to think the PM training hours will remain unchanged.

Honestly I would very much like the requirements (hours of training and hours of experience as a project manager) to be maintained as well as the level of difficulty of the exams

Think we have to wait for a new PMP handbook to be published. The current one was updated on 17. Jan 2020 and still refers to the old ECO as of June 2015.

Wayne -

I very much doubt there will be any changes as of the initial launch to the exam as PMI is piloting it in March for candidates and it would be unfair to have two different sets of prerequisites between the old and new exams.

They have never mandated the content of the contact hours beyond it being PM-focused so I don't see why they would change that now.
