Hi All,

I have got my exam scheduled for early May - Given i can spend 2/2.5 hrs/day on prep i tend to think it should be enough but please advise if you deem it too short.

Secondly, can anyone please recommend how to best start prep in steps order wise? For instance, should i first read the entire PMBok guide and then focus on sample tests+simulators or should both go together by process group?

Thanks for your feedback.

Regarding the prep hours, it depends on your experience and level of understanding of the material so I believe you are the only one who can answer this question.

As for the prep, from my experience, the best advise I can give to you in terms of study plans and resources is the following: (Provided you are taking the exam before June 30th)

Textbooks: (All)
- PMBOK 6th Edition + Exam Content Outline
- Rita Mulcahy’s PMP Exam 9th

Courses and Simulation Exams:
- RMC Solutions
- PM PrepCast
- PM Star
- Udemy (Joseph Philips)

Either RMC or PM PrepCast for simulation exams is enough. I personally think you don't need both.

Hope this helps - Good Luck !

Hi Adeel,

I just passed the exam last Tuesday.

As Rami said the best textbooks are Rita Mulcahy's prep book and, of course, the PMBOK. Be careful to read everything thoroughly… Study every section, trying to do all the exercises proposed in Rita's text and then test your understanding with an on line simulator. You'll see, in Rita's text, you'll find a lot of useful tips for passing the exam!

Be confindent and good luck!

As I pointed out in a separate discussion, there is value in having two different exam simulators. It's too easy when you have only one exam simulator to remember, rather than understand, the answers.
