Hello,
I am currently in graduate school and I am required to find a mentor. The mentor ship consists of meeting once a week for the following 8 weeks, for roughly 30 minutes at a time. I have a list of questions that I have to ask every week. If anyone is interested please contact me. I believe you gain PDU's for mentoring.
I would love to get insight on what its like to be a PM, and the road-map you took to get there. Have a wonderful day. Saving Changes...

I believe for better results, it might be useful to contact your local chapter. I am currently mentoring a couple of individuals as part of the mentorship program at the local chapter here in Vancouver.
I am sure, almost every chapter has a similar program. There is a PMI Chapter in San Diego and they do have a mentorship program, I just checked their website.
You better joint the local chapter Saving Changes...

Dear Jonathan
Interesting your question Thanks for sharing
I have a suggestion to make: Look for a mentor in your chapter
As mentioned by Rami, chapters often have a mentorship program Saving Changes...

Hi guys thank you for the advice. I submitted an application to my local chapter, unfortunately they denied my request. Apparently they don't offer the type of mentor I am looking for.

Hello Jonathan: What kind of a mentor are you looking for? I noticed you chose the topics of aerospace and defense. We do have PMI experts in the fields of aerospace and defense as members on this site. If you are more specific, maybe one of them can connect with you? Saving Changes...

Of course, here are some more details. I've been working in the aerospace industry for 8 years as an aircraft mechanic. My current employer is paying me to earn a M.S. in Project Management degree. One of the courses requires me to meet with an established PM, preferably in my industry, once a week for 8 weeks. Each week there will be different questions I need to explore with my mentor and compile all the information into an overall reflection paper.

Great, thank you. Check someone here on this platform or linkedIn called David Maynard, he might be able to help you out. He used to work for Nasa (Great Guy).
Cheers

Hi Jonathan,
While I am not in the Aerospace division for Parker, I may be able to help. For the last 2 years my focus has been on IoT projects for the manufacturing industry and I am currently working on an Agile transformation within IT.
