Dear Olalude
Interesting your question
Thanks for sharing

On the PMI website you can find all the information you need:

I think this must cover most of it. If you register for exams - I think first week of March, then you get a rebate on examination fee and a free second attempt (if at all needed).

Olalude -

Is there no way you could prepare and write the current exam in May as the volume of self-study resources is much richer for that than will be available shortly after the new exam launches.

Historically it has usually taken a few months for major changes to the exam to stabilize and for 3rd party resources to reach a reasonable quality level to help aspirants...

I totally agree with Kiron's statement and suggestion. It is a wise idea to take the exam before July 2020.

According to new PMP exam contents, it has three domains, such as people, process, business environment.

1. People,
You need to see Stakeholder, Communication, Human Resource management along with agile principles.

2. Process
You need to see the rest of PMBOK knowledge area except the above #1 areas.

3. Business environments.
You need to see the rest of PMBOK contents except the above #1, 2 areas.

It is recommended that read Agile practice guide more and more for basic understanding.

If 7th edition of PMBOK guide is applied in PMP exam in 2021, the exam level will be more difficult than the current exam.

Good luck.

I'm not sure that it is given that the exam based on PMBOK 7 Guide will be more difficult.
