Hello! I am applying to take the PMP exam. I cover the 4500 hours leading projects in only 27 months (my formal role in the companies was project manager, so I was managing projects full time, covering all 5 areas of knowledge).
However, in order to comply with the 36 months requirement, I have also added 14 months in which I was part of the Project Management Team (helping the Project Manager with project activities). Not full time doing project management activities, just a few hours a day.
Please can someone tell me if it that will be okay to cover the PMI requirements to sit for the exam?
Thank you very much! Saving Changes...

Dear Eva
Interesting your question

Tip: Submit the 4,500 hours to PMI and wait for a response
The requirement experience in project management, not work experience has a project manager. So you should be fine. The term used is leading project", in opposition to executing the project. That is my understanding. Saving Changes...

Eva, ensure that you have enough evidence to prove what you claim just in case your application is selected for audit. I hope you are aware of what it means by application being selected for audit. Saving Changes...

Hola Eva. Saving Changes...
Hello all, thanks for your responses! I followed along with Sergio's advice and contacted PMI. I was able to clarify two things:
- You can actually log more than 1500 hours of experience in a year. I was dubious because I've seen many places in which they stated you can't log more than 1500. (I am considering vacations, holidays, but a whole 8 hour PM dedication per workable day)
- You need to have 36 months of leading and directing projects "solely". Months AND hours have to be in leading and directing projects.
Based on this, I will have to log a different project and contact a different person to back up my experience.
Hopefully this helps someone else!

When you say leading and directly projects solely you mean you have to be the Project Manager ?
If they told you this, then I assure you, 75% of the applications would have been rejected.
As long as you are doing project management activities, the tittle doesn't matter.
Anyways, Good Luck. Will leave that with you now that you have clarification from the source.
