It is natural that we often agree with each other, yet there is often always something we can add to the discussions, we have different experiences, we have different cultures and this creates a diversity of opinions.
So what does it take some (few) members to express their opinion "I agree with ...." usually after a reputable member? when I have nothing to add, I stay with my thoughts.

I usually either don't respond or try to give a substantive response that does more than parrot another person's response. I've had similar thoughts to your question and Kiron's response.
There are stars for rating blog posts and articles. It shouldn't be too difficult to do something like that for discussions.
I was going to suggest using the Like button, but I just realized that is a link to Facebook, not a way to "agree" on this site, without typing anything. Saving Changes...

It depends. And many here have done it at some point, including me.
Let's be cautious here, please.
The goal of this community is to engage, not disengage others. Not everyone can be wordsmiths or spend time crafting a meaningful response. Realistically, just not everyone is wired that way. And posts like this can make it even harder, and certainly, will not change anything.
Different people are here for different reasons. Let's be inclusive. Let's think about positive ways to engage others instead of calling them out.

Andrew,
I understand your concerns, in any way I am promoting exclusion, but only quality in participation or at least some substance to the discussion's.

If someone says that every now and then, its totally fine but when it becomes the only things said and you receive 10 notifications on 10 different threads within 10 minutes from the same person with "Thanks for Sharing" and "I totally agree" then I totally hear your concern.
Andrew
I hear your concern as well and do not disagree but let's not forget that as much as engagement is important from one side, the quality of engagement is equally important so we need to strike a balance between both.

Rami,
When I wrote this thread I was thinking exactly about the ones that are systematic, as I said in the thread it's normal to agree from time to time no problem with that.

Rami, in all seriousness, and I'm sure you recognize that was my rationale as well. There is a level of quality we hope to see, though, low quality can also come in a response filled with many words or redundant responses.

Dear Alexandre:
Interesting your question
Thanks for sharing
"I agree" syndrome is different from "interesting your perspective on the topic"
Just as important as the "I agree syndrome" is the "non-participation syndrome" (not to call it another name :-)) Saving Changes...

True, the length of the response doesn't matter, its the quality that does and of course I know that was your rationale too.
After 5 years together in this community, I can say I know you well enough, virtually, to know you want what is best for this community and its members.
