Liberating Structures introduce tiny shifts in the way we meet, plan, decide and relate to one another. They put the innovative power once reserved for experts only in hands of everyone.

Leaders know that they would greatly increase productivity and innovation if only they could get everyone fully engaged. The challenge is how. Liberating Structures, practical and no-nonsense methods to help you accomplish this goal with groups of any size.

As project manager and leader did you already use some of the techniques described by liberating structures?

What do you feel about the subject?

Hi Alexandre - Liberating Structures are an area of focus for this year. I want to learn and incorporate them into my work.
Anytime we can shift the paradigm for delivering content or facilitating discussions is a great opportunity for growth, on both sides.

How have you been able to use Liberating Structures in your efforts? Or how do you plan to?

Andrew,

Good question, my first contact with liberating structures was in an agile conference, the concept was interesting and I saw value on the techniques.
As I can not be disruptive about the habits of the company, my first approach until now was to apply this in our software team in weekly meetings(1-2-4-All), it has improved the communication, creativity. Also has increased the engagement of the team members because the responsability of the organization is in rotating mode.

But I am thinking in new ways to introduce a couple more of liberating techniques at company level for that I need support and must be in a smooth way.

I checked out the web site as I was not familiar with these structures. Lots of options to choose from to fit your situation. Someone should do a webinar on these!

Stéphane,

Thanks for participating in the discussion, is indeed a good idea, but works better in an interactive workshop, but I agree with you this could be resumed in a simple way into a webinar.
