Is it worth it to take online PhD in Project Management? And which one is better? I based in Malaysia.

I am currently working in Malaysia with one of the top real estate developer. After few round of survey in the internet, there are actually quite a number of institution offering online Doctorate in Project Management. May I know if this type of online program is effective and useful? And what is the parameter I need to consider when I choose the institution to further my study?
