Asif,

There is no impact of Corona virus in Central India where I am based but basic precautions are being taken. Building a stronger immune system is the best we can do.
I believe " Corona virus is spreading faster in social media rather than in real life".

Thanks Raj,

I agree with you to some extend but the way its spreading worldwide and new cases are being reported each day, the impact is still difficult to fully assessed.

Dear Asif,

The Corona Virus AKA COVID-19 impact is increasing being affected in my home country as new cases are identified and as such diagnosed.

This has led to some knock on effects with sport matches being postponed, non essential services being curtailed and an increased public awareness campaign by the Department of Health on ways to decrease your chances of coming in contact COVID-19/Corona Virus.

Just the other day Google European Headquarters sent all its workers homes and had them all work from home to see if they could still continue business in the event of an escalation of cases of COVID-19/Corona Virus being reported and detected within the country.

As the only country with a land border with the UK post Brexit this raises some interesting questions how both countries will respond to an outbreak when a hard/soft border comes into existence and their is an upward trend in the outbreak over an extended period of time.

During the Foot and Mouth outbreak many years ago their was an coordinated response by both countries to eradicate the problem so if this level of cooperation continues to exist, we will have to see how things transpire over the next coming months.

Our president has just asked all of us to come up with ideas on how we could deliver our core courses virtually in the event that this becomes necessary.

This will be a challenge, especially for my agile courses given the number of tactile, team-based exercises I use. Tools like Slack or MS Teams might partially help this, but the experience would definitely be impacted.

For global projects - see if there's additional resources in other locations that can assist in case of an office shutdown/quarantine in one location.

All team members that do not need to be in an office to do their work should be working remotely to mitigate the risk of the virus taking out an entire team.

When this is over and we've all moved on to the next crisis, it would be interesting to revisit this question and draw some subtle distinctions. We won't know the real impact until it's happened, and we'll never truly know if our response made it better or worse (i.e. the Godzilla Phenomenon, when a solution is as bad as the problem).

o What was the perceived impact of Coronavirus on your projects? (Most Likely vs Worst Case)

o What was the direct impact of Coronavirus on your projects? (Disrupted supply chains, sick team members, shift in organizational priorities, etc.)

o What was the impact of the preventative response to Coronavirus on your projects? (Disrupted supply chains, cancelled trips, marketing changes, etc.)
