There is an option to take the CAPM or PMI-ACP online proctored exam,However I recommend a participation should mtake/do a "Plan risk response" decrease the probability and/or impact for the the thread which might appears when he taken such exam(s).
for example:-
1) He/she might taken the exam through CBT
( PearsonVue Center located near to him/her. it will be good choice.
2) He/she should develop alternative Interconnect connection
(backup plan or let's say fail back plan.
3) He/She should adhered the policies/procedures/check In
process before he decide to take such one-line proctored exam.
4) Even thought, there are also some Unknown unknown risk(s)
beside known unknown risk(s) might be met during the exam
(mainly technical risks - type of applications to be
closed prior exam, Firewall and ...e.t.c).
5) Even thought, there is no confident test might be taken prior exam
the BEGIN EXAM (flag/Button ) only appears on the day of
exam and before 30 minutes.
I have seen a lot of participants experienced a lot of problem(s) when they took such online proctored exam including myself and I wanted to help/recommend to mitigate the risk(s) as you can.
6) When I tried to map the thread risk to the Guide which I learnt ,I found 5 strategies of dealing with threats
( Escalate,Avoid,Transfer,Accept and Mitigate), so you have the choice of using the applicable strategy(ies).
Appreciate both PMI/PearsonVue to develop a confident way of exam with minimize the risk(s) to ZERO (using Avoid strategy). This will close the Gaps and let the students/participated to take their Online proctored Exam with success way.
After my experience with the PearsonVue online proctored test, i don't recommend it for any high stress exams for example the PMI-ACP which requires you months of prep. Saving Changes...
