Does anyone have experience of using ASANA as a project management tool throughout the company, a matrix type organization?
Also I need to know the capabilities of SmartSheet compared to Asana.
I would be appreciated if you provide your advise.

I have used it a little in the past. Then when I came across Smartsheet, that seemed a lot more intuitive and easier to use.

Thank you for your feedback.
Have you ever done project performance assessment using Smartsheet? I mean earned value management. SPI, CPI, etc.
Does it have the potential of this application?

Though, I have not used either, would emphasize the importance of having a full understanding of what is actually required inside the organization do determine the right capability for the specific needs. The impact of bringing new tools and potential processes is more significant than usually expected, so make it count.

@Mehran, I believe those features are available in the business version; I used the individual version. But no, I did not use them in Smartsheets.

Asana is a good tool but is a bit costly. You can try nTask which offers unlimited members for Free.

Does anyone have experience with integrating MS Teams with ASANA? I want to understand if ASANA requires to purchase a full license with them in order to view a tab of the Project Plan on a tab in MS Teams.

To provide more context, my company has implemented Monday.com as their workflow mgmt tool. We are heavily integrated with MS Teams. My COO would like for my team to create a tab on a channel that will allow the executive team to review the project plan of any certain project that is in flight. All the executive leaders have view only access to Monday.com (bc it doesn't make sense to give them a full license if they aren't using it operationally). But Monday.com won't let them view the project plans unless we purchase them a full license. I can always create a tab to link a URL and bring them to the web instance that way but my COO didn't like the redirect option.

I want to know if ASANA operates the same way. Users can only view ASANA related tabs in MS Teams if they carry a full license with ASANA.
