COVID-19 - Will PMI give us remote access to pass the PMP exam?

Hello,

With World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 who declared COVID-19 a pandemicm, and PMI sending notification saying "they are moving to a temporary remote work policy for 30 days (end 12 April). This means that a majority of their staff around the globe will be working from home.", I was thinking about people applying for exams that are scheduled for the next few weeks?
Shouldn't we be allowed to remote sessions to do the tests instead of going to a crowded class/test room ?

Personally, I dont want to postpone my exam, and I guess many other candidates agree with me, so I hope there is a way to do the exam remotely as well... Would PMI create this flexibility ?

Any thought about that ?

Thanks,
Soha

Dear all
do we have any update regarding the possibility to have the exam on remote.
I live in Italy and actually the center where I have my exam booked is closed (like everything here). I have my exam scheduled on may 19th but I think that the center will remain close.

I have just found this:
PMP Online Proctor Testing
We are targeting mid-April for exam candidates to have the option to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam online from their office or home. More details will follow. As a reminder, the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certifications can already be taken online

Hi,
If other PMI certifications like CAPM, PMI-ACP are proctored online, I don't see why PMP should be an exemption. What is the Virus persists till December (Which I don't pray for), Shall those who were to write on April 02, 2020, keep studying till December?

Remote testing in my view was suppose to that immediate effect from the lockdown period

While there has been nothing officially announced on PMI's website for candidates or for their REPs, the following page does seem to provide some indication that PMP exams will be available for online completion in the fairly near term: https://home.pearsonvue.com/pmi/onvue

If you read the Additional Information topics, there are a few mentions of the PMP in addition to the (existing) online CAPM and PMI-ACP exams.
