Can any body out there help please ?

I have just been informed by the PMI institute that I will have to reschedule my exams and this is almost after a whole year.
Firstly this is unfair, unjust, unprofessional, inadequate and mind you totally unethical to inform a candidate on the eleventh hour
on rescheduling exams not to mention in such an inconvenient manner as I have been studying to take the PMP exams for a
year now.

I can not reschedule my exams as I do not have the cancellation fees.Neither can I travel abroad or locally due to the bands on the
corona virus. My expiry date is on the 15 April 2020 and because I can not cancel my exams due to not having the cancellation fees
means that I can not reschedule.

The credibility of the governance and leadership of PMI should be questioned as to why and how do they offer such an exam
globally but put their students through such risk and inconvenience by informing them on the eleventh hour?Furthermoe there
is no contact point with an online agent and neither contact info.on the website.

This is surely inadequate and unfair on the part of PMI.I therefore request that PMI gives me a refund due to extenuating
circumstances as I would have to wait another full year before taking the exams again or give me another date discarding my expiry date
at their discretion on a testing centre near me.

Where do I go and what do I do?
What are my options?
Why has PMI waited this long to put me in such inconvenience?
Do I lose a whole year in my life at the expense and inconvenience of PMI ?
Do I address this in a legal way concerning the corona virus and extenuating circumstance policy?

Hi everyone - We appreciate your feedback and concern. Our Crisis Task Force has been monitoring the situation with Covid-19 and as you are aware, this is a very fluid situation which changes by the day, if not by the hour. Our communication team is currently working to provide an update to those directly impacted (certification candidates and live event attendees). For additional information, please visit https://www.pmi.org/about/coronavirus-single-source-message

Again we appreciate your feedback and thank you for your patience during this time.

I know things like this, all the planning, studying, and preparing for these exams takes a great deal of time, and the exam is of great importance. The one thing to keep in mind, is that this is a circumstance no one, worldwide, thought would ever come into play. This pandemic is greatly impacting the world and our daily lives as we know it.

PMI has done an amazing job informing people of changes as decisions are being made to ensure the safety and well-being of all their members or future members. We need to be understanding of these changes as they come up.

I am not downplaying your frustration, as I would be frustrated too. Just keep in mind that this is for the best of everyone as these decisions and changes are being made. We will all get through this.

Given that PMI's website was last updated on March 13 related to Covid-19 and they are somewhat at the mercy of Pearson VUE and their changes, I'd hope that there will be a meaningful update provided by PMI this week, addressing issues such as:

1. What happens with pilot exam candidates?

2. If someone reschedules the exam due to Covid-19 past July 1 would they still be able to take the current exam?

3. Will the exam cut over date of July 1 remain or is it being pushed back?

4. What is happening as far as the REP - ATP transition currently planned for July 1?

Hi Kiron,

On the PMI website, they have announced that the new exam will not be implemented until January 2021. So I think this may answer #2,3. Not sure how recent this is, but wanted to make sure anyone on this post could see the change.

PMI is garbage and is an unfair organization that is ran like a business. If this were a org, we'd have more support and the tests wouldnt be arbitrary, there is no Right or Wrong answer according to pmi. If I want to improve I cant see what questions I got wrong because they dont rank them in that fashiom=n.

As far as I am concerned this is an organization that is money hungry and not needed
