Sample PPM implementation project plan, WBS

Does anyone have any project plan templates or WBS for a PPM application implementation (specifically HP PPM)? Looking for something that outlines the key milestones post procurement (requirements, setup/config, training, change management, testing, deployment, post-deployment).

It sounds like you could use a generic purchase package / COTS implementation plan. Have you checked http://office.microsoft.com for some resuable COTS packages project schedules or project plans?

You should be able to use those as a framework and add additional detail relevant to your project.

Hey Wally,
Attached is what I believe is a starting point. Unfortunately I don't have MSP loaded on this computer, so I can't validate. You might also check out the artifcasts at CIMpleBS.com. I have been implementing HP-PPM for 10 years. It is an integrated Project, Portfolio, Demand Management, Change Managment, Financia Management Enterprise System that requires multi-funcitonal, integrated understanding to implement properly. I've just finished my first non new Implementation engagement and I know first hand what happens when less than adequate understanding drives the implementation. Drop me a note at [email protected] and I'll send you some more info. Unfortunately, I have developed all of my implmentation project plans in the PPM tool, which I currently don't have access to.

More specifically aimed at your request, the attached Visio is the WBS for the Implementation of HP-PPM. Be sure to review the Shape Properties for detailed information.

I have been following your videos on HP PPM and I must say they have been quite helpful.Although the CIMpleBS.com site is not accessible :( Anyways I am an aspiring Business Analyst who would be working on a HP PPM implementation project soon and would be very grateful if you could provide me some sample use cases and any other recommendations for a BA role in such project?
