I have linked 4 sub projects into a master project in MS Projects 2003. When I try to sort the "Start Date" column, only 1 sub project start dates is sorted and the other 3 sub projects remain unsorted.
My question is how can I sort the "Start Date" for all 4 sub projects at one time?
Thank you in advance for your assistance. Saving Changes...
There are great on-line platforms doing all MS work plus full clarity, e-mail integration and "know-how" built in. Using templates, for example: Time-line template, Tracking template, Risk management template and so on, enable quick start and learn from other experience.
You can find all these in Clarizen-on line project management solution.

Great Post Yael, not sure how it helps Patrick?
Patrick - How have inserted the project's?
Which Sub project is sorted the first one?
If you have inserted the projects into a master project, your master project I am assuming has some activities/milestones also. If so then your master project would have had some lines e.g. 1-10 before you inserted the project files.
project 1 should start for example on line 4, Project 2 on line 6 etc. If you have done it this way, you should be able to expand your project 3 and the first line will show (e.g.) row 8 and the second line row 1 from the actual project file. (Sorry if this is teaching egg sucking)
If you have followed this you should be able to sort. If you still can not then the only restriction I can think of is read only being selected on the lower projects.

If you'd like to send me the files, I'd be happy to take a look at it.
I often build master schedules with subschedules to integrate vendors schedules into a master plan.
