I wanted to start a thread so we could support one another during this worldwide pandemic. Are you scared? Here is a place where we can encourage and support one another - a place to tell our personal story. I have a daughter who is an ICU physician in Colorado. I pray for her safety every day. Maybe you have concerns too? I am hoping this thread could be a place for sharing and supporting one another. Saving Changes...

Great to hear that you are on the mend, Rami!
The stress-levels around the pandemic are such that the slightest feeling of not being "okay" is cause for much greater levels of dread than before.
Even if our symptoms don't match the more well identified ones (e.g. fever, cough, shortness of breath), there is so much we don't know about this virus that your mind won't let you rule it out as a possibility.
Universal availability of a cheap, reliable self-testing capability might be the only way to reduce fears in the long term.
Kiron
Thank you Kiron, appreciate it.
I am not really stressed at all but I never had a cough like this before or chest pain and I don't smoke so I shall wait and see.
They are working on a device that can figure out in 15 seconds by scanning your thumb if you have COVID 19. Some astronauts are involved. This is the only way to bring sports and travelling back.
You will start scanning your thumb before your passport. Welcome to the era of Artificial Intelligence.

Hello Rami - how are you feeling today? I am grateful for new technology coming and more testing options available for all. My daughter just told me as a physician working in ICU she can now be tested for free anytime she has symptoms - this is an improvement for our healthcare workers!

Sharing some good news from my daughter today confirming they have enough PPEs and ventilators and their ICU is under control right now. They have 2.5 floors of positive COVID-19 patients in their Colorado hospital. The staff are being cautious and wearing full gear. Let's continue to support those heroes on the front lines caring for patients around the globe. My heart goes out to all the families who have lost loved ones all around the world. If you have been impacted by this pandemic, please share your story. This thread is intended to be one of support. Saving Changes...
COVID-19 just hit pretty close to home - my best friend and his wife (both retirees) were diagnosed positive a couple of weeks ago. His symptoms were pretty mild so he was sent home and asked to self-isolate and has subsequently pretty much recovered. His wife was not so lucky - she was put on a ventilator a few days back and the latest update I got from him indicates her doctors don't expect her to survive more than a couple of days.
What is horrible about this situation is they won't let him or any of her family members visit her in the ICU even wearing proper PPE - even though she is in a coma, it would be a chance for them to say goodbye.
Needless to say, it has been a real shock for me when moving from the level of high statistics to a very personal singular data point.
Stay safe everyone!

I'm happy to hear that all you are safe! I was a little disconnected, working hard to ensure that we still deliver our products to our customers and keeping the team health and safe.
Most of my family and friends are in Spain, so as you know, there the virus is kicking hard. Not direct relatives were impacted (at this point) and I hope that they will stay safe.
Stay safe my friends and hope we can gather soon again! Saving Changes...

My heart goes out to all those health care workers. Not only are they putting themselves at risk - many of them are over 60 - but they also could put their family at risk. I can see they will be the next generation of "veterans" dealing with physical and mental health conditions resulting from dealing with COVID-19. Let's remember to thank them for their service.
