What Certification is best to pursue these days?
What about skills? Which one is desired most by the hiring companies these days?

Here are the answers to both questions:

Hi Simon,

Good Questions, not so quickly answered. I think the answer comes from your desire for continual learning and growth. As one advances in one's career or new technologies arise, it is a great opportunity to investigate and learn new skills. Sometimes this investigate comes from the form of experience, other times it comes from pursuit of certification or graduate education.

The key is to put into practice what you have learned to improve the organization.

Hope this helps,
Elyse

"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons."
