I am looking for an easy to use, practical and cost effective Project Management Software Programme to implement. Can anyone recommend options – free or paid versions please. Saving Changes...

Hi Hantie,
There are a number of good software programs on the market today, but not all are right for you and the way your company does projects. My recommendation is treat this like a project; sponsor, charter, requirements, RFP, selection, implementation and adoption. Also, find a program that complements and strengthens your processes vs. recreating them.

Thank you Jason. Please can you mention a few that I can investigate. I have used Vision for 12 years and recently migrated to Vantage. I however wish to investigate my options before my license expire / must be renewed.
Before looking at a tool, start by understanding which processes are being followed consistently by practitioners in your company and where there would be a benefit in automation.
Otherwise you risk the "garbage in, garbage out" issue.
For example, if project schedules are not being developed in a quality fashion, just migrating them from Excel or Vision to MS Project is likely to cause more headaches given the increased complexity of a "real" scheduling engine.

Vantage (if I'm remembering correctly) is pretty robust and offers integrations. Do you need to integrate with an ERP or other solution for accounting purposes? ChangePoint has a number of features. SmartSheet has also been offering a number of enhancements. Monday.com, Basecamp, JIRA, all could have what you need.

Hantie - I would recommend starting with a set of requirements to narrow the focus of what exactly is needed from the solution to solve for the problem or gap that is motivating this search. Also, keep in mind current architecture and if the need is for cloud or on-premise solutions, as well as what integrations will be required.
Lastly, ensure a robost business readiness playbook to coordinate the switch over from current to new solution. Good Luck! -Drew Saving Changes...
We implemented a tool a few months ago, as a lesson learned, (and Kiron noted that), the tool will not solve your process issues. First understand your process, have a clear scope and agreement with all the teams that will use the tool, and after will be easy to find the perfect tool that will fit not only your team, maybe all your organization.
