35 hours of PM formal education

Hi,

I am quite new to this community and seeking answers to a few questions in order to acquire a professional designation. Appreciate your help in guidance :)

I am planning to go for PMP certification this year, would like to know the options / ways for gaining the 35 hours of project management education, for fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
Are there any courses I can take from learning platforms like coursera / Linkedin Learning or alikes?


I am an MBA with few electives in IT, and a Computer engineering degree holder. So, I had a few courses in the specific area as well.

I used the PMP Exam Prep course from Joseph Phillips on Instructing.com. You can subscribe for as long as you need access to the lectures or learning activities. It is a pretty low-cost way to earn your education credits.

If you have participated in a PM class (or classes) as part of your degrees, then you can use those hours towards meeting the application requirements. Another option, like Jared said, would be to signup for online classes by a PMI REP (Registered Education Provider). I was a rather recent MBA when I sat, I was able to use some of my MBA courses to sit for the exam. I believe I also used a class I took through the American Management Association through work to meet the requirement.

You can also take classes in PM pretty cheaply through ed2go.com that are PMI REPs. I've done these as a refresher before I sat for the PMP.
