I have 7+ years of experience in IT industry. I did various projects in Datawareshousing. I worked in various project phases with good team lead experience.
Does PMP need project manager experience explicitly?
I didnot do a project manager role. I managed a team of 5 till now.
I got training in my organisation PMP classes for 36 hours. They didnot provide any certificate for the same. Do i need a certificate for the same? If so how can i get it in any other way?
Can anyone answer my questions please? Saving Changes...

Hello Kay
You can see the requirements for PMP certification here: http://www.pmi.org/CareerDevelopment/Pages...entialsPMP.aspx It does say that you need to have spent a certain number of hours "leading and directing project tasks". I would say that if you had responsibility for a workstream or a part of the project you could say that you have lead project tasks.
I am not a PMP myself so others may be able to advise you of their experiences with the application process itself. Saving Changes...
