Similar to PMI's standards and practice guides, the Disciplined Agile key reference book "Choose Your WoW!" is now available as a free downloadable PDF file for PMI members.

The PDF file is watermarked with your name and PMI member number and does not permit copying content or printing.

The direct link to the download page is here: https://www.pmi.org/disciplined-agile/books/dad-handbook

I was super exited, I download it... more than 400 pages. So it's going to my backlog. Also share your post with my peers :) Thank for them too.

Mayte -

It is very readable (unlike the PMBOK Guide) and there are a few jokes sprinkled throughout it which reflects Scott and Mark's unique sense of humor.

My suggestion is to read section 1 (the first hundred or so pages) in depth, but once it gets into the specific DAD process goals, decision points and options, skim over it.

Folks -

Joao had asked whether the remaining DA books would be available as free downloads to PMI members. I sent a note to Mark Lines asking about this and his response is:

"Currently no plan to make the other books complimentary. Lots of changes coming, that hasn’t made it to the top of the stack."

Hi Kiron,

Huge thank you for delivering on your promise. You keep rising on my own "influence" rank :)

Although it's not the answer I was looking for, I understand that the backlog must be huge.
Maybe someday the strategy changes... I'm sure it would help the community grow in numbers and consistency.
Personally, I already bought two of the books in Kindle version, so I can always resort to that.

Thanks Joao -

The explanation which Mark provided is that the CYW book is like a DABOK Guide and hence aligns well with PMI's other standards and practice guides. The other DA books don't really "fit" that model - they belong in PMI's library but wouldn't be in the same domain as the freely downloadable content.

Mark did suggest I follow up with Scott on this to see if he has a different view so I will update this thread if I get a different response from Scott...
