Hello
I am planning to apply for the PMP certification. One of the requirement is to have 35PDU. What is the best way to get the 35PDU?
Thanks
Nirali

PDUs are earned after you have got a PMI certification, not before. What you need to accumulate is contact hours.

The two most common methods are:

1. Take a number of different formal PM courses which add up to 35 hours in total.
2. Take a 5 day PMP Prep course

These are 35 hours of formal Project Management Education, you should receive as a requisite to take the PMI exam. You should search for a Registered Education Provider, certificated by PMI, to take online or classroom classes and obtain a certificate.

Good advise Veronica except that it doesn’t need to be an REP. As per PMI, non-REP’s can also provide training and PDU’s even in the new system.

The best part is you can go for both virtual and classroom training depending on your convenience.

My contact hours came from university courses. If you go for multiple certifications, you might be able to re-use contact hours, or at least a portion of them. For example, I took a Project Management and Advanced Project Management courses through Ottawa U. I was able to apply all the hours towards my PMP but a subset of them towards my SP.
