A. Changes to the project scope-

B. Rolling wave planning-

C. Detailed out the product requirements develop during initial process-

D. Production of fabrication and construction drawing from the drawing for a chemical plant

Hint: Option B& C is very straight forward definition of progressive elaboration. And somehow I can find Option A also the result of progressive elaboration.

My confusion is over D,
Could anyone pl elaborate which one A or D not the form progressive elaboration .

My friend, are you studying for the PMP exam? If yes, then my recommendation is trying to find a source with answers like Rita´s or some free of cost sources outside there.

Thank you for your suggestion, By the way I am already Certified PMP, some of these questions posted to me from my colleague/friend preparing for exam.

Sometimes i find difficult to conclude the right answer thats why i post it here for brainstorming before concluding best among given options.

D sounds for me as a progressive elaboration of drawings, from plant drawing to more detailed drawings for production and construction.

A is a change, a change is not a progressive elaboration of a baseline, but a alteration of the baseline.

Samir - I'd recommend posting such questions in the Certification Central discussion group rather than this one as the answers you will receive here may be more "real world" rather than PMBOK theory oriented.

And I'd concur with Thomas's answer that "A" does not represent progressive elaboration which is essentially filling in details for future work as we get closer to the time for performing that work rather than changes to project scope.

Progressive elaboration is about refining work packages, often plans, as more information is revealed.

D is an example of progressive elaboration of a non-planning work package.
