Hi Kevin, with the requirements shared, I'd recommend giving Trello a try. Certainly, simple and intuitive, and able to have multiple boards.

There are just so many options out there for PM software. Shop around and see what seems to satisfy the need. GL!

Hey Kevin - I've used Asana paired with Instagantt at a previous start-up. Both are web-based so work well with a Mac. Both have a free trial version that gives you a very basic functionality, but to truly get to a project management solution, you do need to upgrade to a paid subscription. Asana is really good at task management and provides automated notifications for assigned resources (if you need that). Asana is less useful from a Program / Portfolio perspective, which is why I paired it with Instagantt which does a much better job in that area, but is less capable when it comes to managing specific task activities. I've also dabbled with Trello and agree with Andrew's thoughts generally, although I've not found it able to generate a Gantt (it gives you a calendar view instead). Best option obviously depends on your wants/needs/desires... Hope that helps.
