I have seen that many people do not participate in discussion or share there opinion, but just add a comment as "I agree", "Good point", "Good Question" etc.
In my opinion we already have voting option to agree or appreciating a feedback. So we such commnet should be avoided.

I feel there should a validation on minimum length of comment in discussions to avoid such comments and people should also use the forum to share opinion or debate or learn from queries and discussion.

I seek opinion from other members how they see these non value add comments and should there be a method to avoid them?

Hi Tarun,
This kind of comments are frequently here in the forum but also in the blogs or articles and from time to time makes sense because the questioner is thanking the commitment for others spent in the response.

Instead become annoyed with them as I used to be, I choose to react to them with indifference. You can always chose the importance that you really give to them.

So as European form me this is always a controversial subject because in some way removing this kind of comments we are try to avoid the participation of the members in anyway. So, we are falling in rigid approach much like an authoritarian network and the other hand when we give freedom o expression we are exposed to these types of comments.

conclusion:
1 - If you restrict this comments will affect the engagement of the members.
2 - This kind of comments don't hurt anyone.
3 - Is this network only for subject matter experts or everyone that decides to be member
4 - The beauty o knowledge is that is spread by all members of the network, there is not one member here that knows everything.

Looking to this considerations I think if the system works perhaps should continue as it is in the moment instead to make it worse.

Hi Alexandre,
Thank you for your view.
I agree that this community is for all and not one Member knows everything. I also would like to see more participation than restrictIons.
But I am not sure how it is helping others who puts such comments very now and then and shall we really benefiting the community by keeping such people active by keeping such people engaged.
When I participate in a discussion or start a new discussion I mostly follow that to see others comments and view to learn from them. But such comments actually disappoints.
May be we should not touch a running system as you said or may be we should try something that make system more effective.
