Mine is distributed agile team. I want to show them the importance of soft skills while being a part of an Agile software team. How should I go about that? Any content which is meaningful to them will really help. I don't want to use, what is there on internet. It is too generic. So, if someone can help me in this regard by sharing their own experiences and content for that matter.

If Covid did not impact your team work from the begining then you have a team that have incorporated the Agile way of working and thinking because they have agility. Agility by definition is "being prepare for unexpected and unplanned environmental changes and being able to create unexpected and unplanned environmental changes". I am in the same process than you demostrate at corporate level how all we did in the last three years have delivered the expected results. I am basing it on facts.

Giving them information which is out there will be less impactful than modeling the behaviors you expect them to demonstrate. If they are lacking in the knowledge of what a high-performing team is like, then a formal course would be good, but couple that with ongoing coaching.

There are many good blogs out there including Mike Cohn's, Joshua Kerievsky's and others, but practice trumps theory all the time.

Payal.

the lists of soft skills are many and long, yet they include emotional intelligence quite constantly. Emotional intelligence is improving yourself, so you could have workshops on that with the targets of increasing self-confidence, self-control, empathy and interacting positively.

Teaming is probably important for you, here is an example to start with https://youtu.be/zrgz6pqSutI, or look at the HUMM team assessments, e.g https://www.aurorasa-coaching.com/humm-wad...erament-scale-2

And conflict management is an important skill for anybody, a good starter here is crucial conversations.

Take your team on the journey of becoming better humans.

Acting as a team player – this means not only being cooperative, but also displaying strong leadership skills when necessary.
Flexibility – this is an extremely valuable asset to employees. Those who can adapt to any situation are dependable no matter what's thrown at them.
Effective communication – this is paramount to almost any job. Communication involves articulating oneself well, being a good listener and using appropriate body language.
Problem-solving and resourcefulness – no matter what your profession, these skills are critical when unexpected issues inevitably arise.
Accepting feedback – not only accepting feedback gracefully but also applying that feedback, fosters professional growth.
Confidence is key – that being said, it's also important to always have the knowledge and skills to support self-assurance. By being confident and capable, your supervisors, employees, and clients will believe in what you are saying.
Creative thinking – being able to come up with unique solutions or alternatives is invaluable; it drives innovation and increases efficiency.
