I have committed to gaining my PMI Certification. Currently unemployed due to pandemic and am asking for advice. Where's the roadmap to guide me on getting started, what to start with??
Hello Kenneth,
It is not clear which certification you are targeting and why?
I see you are into sales and not sure how much experience you have into project management.
If are new to project managementand willing to build your career into project management , I would suggest to start with CAPM, this will help you to gain first level understanding into project management. Saving Changes...

Hi Kenneth,
I think it is a question about your career path.According to your advantages, experience and interest, may be you will find PMI Certification is not the only choice. But if you choose to study it ,I think you can look for a trainning on-line course,it may help you better to learn it.
Hope it helps,

If you are looking to do the PMP exam, then from my experience, the best advise I can give to you in terms of study plans and resources is the following: (Provided you are taking the current version of the exam)

Hi Kenneth,
I took the PMI - PBA Examination.
I went for classes to gain the 35 hours of formal project management education. Once completed, and applied for the examination, my application was taken up for the audit, where I had to send my professional experience in Business Analysis.
Then, I read the required material, and also, took simulation exams on Udemy.
Hope this helps, and good luck.

It depends on your experience first. Do you have the PM experience to sit for the PMP or the agile experience to sit for the PMI-ACP? If so, target those first.
I'm also in the job market and the PMP is still the most listed requirement for jobs (although many postings want some kind of scrum experience / certification with it). PMI-ACP I've also seen on job requirements.
If you're brand new to PM, study for the CAPM and I'd actually recommend some intro scrum class like the CSM in addition to help you get your foot in the door. Saving Changes...
