as per John Char @ PMI (he shared it in the PMI REP LinkedIn discussion group), this will be of interest for those of you who are planning to apply for a PMI certification in the near term.
Please note the eligibility requirements themselves HAVE NOT CHANGED - this is just the online application form itself...
"I wanted to let you know we will soon launch a new and redesigned application for all current certifications (PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, PMI-RMP, and PMI-SP). The update is slated to occur during the second half of June.
The new design is streamlined and will make it easier for the certification candidates to provide the required information.
We are encouraging candidates with open/pending applications to submit by 15 June 2020." Saving Changes...

Reducing the process from 30 screens to just 4 sounds like a positive transformation. Looking forward to it for my next certification. Saving Changes...

Regarding Kiron's statement:
"Please note the eligibility requirements themselves HAVE NOT CHANGED - this is just the online application form itself..."
It's what's written on the handbook and it makes sense. However, the form itself doesn't allow you to add more experience after you reach the required amount of months of experience.
If you were working in two projects at the same time, or exercising a specific competence less than fulltime (risk, schedule, BA, etc.), there is no way to represent this.
Any ideas on how to overcome this? Saving Changes...

that would be a question for PMI customer support - it is possible that by simplifying the certification application form they have made it harder to support certain use cases!

Hi Kiron,
Thanks for the reply.
Followed your suggestion but customer care goes around the issue without clarifying it. Will contact our region team so they can clarify internally and help our members.
