Can we follow a somebody's activities as in LinkedIn?

I would like to know if there a way to kind of: "Follow" or "Subscribe" feature so we get notified when a specific person starts a discussion/share/comment on something?

Interesting feature request. Would be nice to know when a SME is scheduled to deliver a webinar/seminar too.
