In most projects we would be required to submit material sample ( brochures with details on the technical specifications, brand and supplier ) to be approved by the client or consultant.
The question : Do we need to submit all the materials that we use in the project for approval ? How do we specify which one is required and which one is not required? Do we need to submit everything listed in the drawings, installation manuals and method statements ?
This really depends on the nature of the project, the industry and regulations governing it, and the contractual terms and conditions. If you are designing something which doesn't have health or safety concerns, interim deliverables might be sufficient for approval purposes. On the other hand, where health and safety are involved, a greater number of the project deliverables might need to be submitted for approval.
He question do not make the situation very clear.
But over all this will depend on customer, regulatory requirements and organization reputation, need and depth of clarity required and also to some extended your own organization policies.
So you can make a good decision based on need on particular project. Saving Changes...
This comes down to how you plan to verify that your product requirements have been met. Brochure level data may be useful for supplier selection, but it is often not sufficient for product qualification so either the supplier could supply more substantiation of their materials, like a qualification plan which your technical people would approve and then a formal data submittal.
This is where it is critical to understand your requirements early on, and your plan to show compliance to the requirements. Saving Changes...
