It is said one must reinvent themselves every few years or so. This is in relation to trying to avoid becoming stagnant in a job. Sometimes you can begin to lose that zest, excitement, and energy that once helped to ignite your project management career?

What are some of the things you do every once in a while to reinvent or re-energize yourself as a project manager, to either help build an even stronger career portfolio, or to just rebuild your motivation?

Teach - it's the best way to stay energized because you are paying it forward while also learning new things yourself.

Develop lateral skills/hobbies as those will allow you to look at the world in different ways.

The best way to improve yourself is to keep constant input and output,so you alsways need to learn something new and try to share to others in your own way.

@Kiron, interesting you say teach. I've been a strong proponent of teaching as a way to learn more. It has been said that one learns more when teaching than from being a student, because the teacher learns from a class of 10, 20, 30 students etc, but the students only learn from one person, the teacher.
