Anyone have any issues with an American or Canadian employer not accepting PRINCE2 as a valid project management certification? Or claiming that PMP should be required instead? Would be nice to hear how you ironed out the issue. Saving Changes...

Interesting question. I would have thought PRINCE2 was more popular in the UK compared with the North American continent. Saving Changes...
It is true that PRINCE2 is more popular in Europe, but any hiring manager who is aware of project management certifications will know that the two bodies of knowledge used by the respective organizations and tested by the respective certification exams are aligned.
This sounds like a lack of awareness on the part of the employer - it'd be worth educating them if at all possible.
This is similar to hiring managers or recruiting firms which insist on the CSM certification even though someone with the PSM I has equivalent knowledge.

@Jonathan, @Kiron, much appreciate your responses.
Not came across or heard any such issues. But It would be good to explore both PMP and Prince2.
I am certified in both and personally felt that both has there on advantages. Saving Changes...
