One of the biggest changes in it (aligning with the new application form) is they've dropped any mention of 4500/7500 hours of experience and are only focusing on (duration) months of experience.
They have also added a third category in the prerequisites section, giving preferential treatment to those with a "Bachelor's or post-graduate degree from a GAC accredited program (bachelor’s degree or master's or global equivalent)"

It looks like the application process change for all applications. Do you know where we can find info about what specifically changed in other applications like PfMP and PgMP. I tried to look on PMI’s website but couldn’t find anything so far.

Hi Rami -
I wasn't aware that the change was impacting other credentials too, but that does make sense for them to roll it out across the board. Unfortunately I don't have any visibility into the changes to the requirements or application tool implications for the other certs beyond what PMI might have put as far as updates to the handbooks for those.

Personally I do not agree that institutions that provide Bachelors or post-graduate degree accredited by PMI have preferential treatment to those who frequent the courses.
They we are mixing knowledge with experience does not make any kind of sense , except for the fact this is a profit advantage to PMI that receive the fees of that institutions and indirectly are promoting them.
The PMI strategy lately is clearly based on profit.
Sure - they are only checking for months of experience over a span of time. They are not looking at effort spent. As such, I could have been a part-time PM over a 36 month period of time at 5% and still submit my application. This would be significantly less than the previous 4500 hour requirement.

For the overlapping projects, in my opinion, it makes sense, but not for the other projects without overlap (please see Project 3 on page 7 on the doc). Are we becoming more profit-oriented than qualification/quality oriented? Would the organizations trust new certified PMs? I hope our certification will not lose value.

This is definitely a concern, Soha. PMI is saying the changes are to make the application process easier, but they are diluting the requirements by doing so which means there's a greater likelihood of unqualified PMs becoming certified.
