Lessons learned question

Friends,
I recently sent an anonymous survey of project lessons learned. Received feedback from stakeholders. And, on top of it, I conducted a lessons learned meeting too, to hear the feedback from the stakeholders.

Some neither attended the meeting, nor completed the survey.

Now, (those who neither attended the meeting, nor completed the survey,) is requesting me to share the results of the survey.

The question is, should I share the results of the anonymous survey with them?

Thanks.

If it is an anonymous survey, there is no way that the originators of a specific lesson can be identified, and there is no sensitive information within the survey results which would eliminate distribution, I can't see the harm in doing so.

If you'd like to improve lessons learned outcomes, you may wish to watch the on-demand webinar I did for this community on the topic a year back...

I would, but I would also find a way to politely broach the crux of your question - I would tell them that I would have loved their input at the meeting held, it would have been valuable to receive.

An anonymous survey may help others to bring inputs from people who have not contributed. This can be an enabler and as this is anonymous and also if the stakeholders are internal then no harm in sharing.
Just check How you would classify this document? Internal or confidential.
If confidential then just need to see the correct audience and share accordingly.

Sampath,
yes, absolutely, ask yourself some questions like

What does the fact that they ask tell you?
How can you use this opportunity to further your project and yourself?
Why do they want to see the results?

You already created an interest, use it!

The purpose of lessons learned is to learn from the good and the bad things we did. It is therefore of utmost importance that the outcome should be shared as wide as is possible. Obviously common sense prevails and sensitive information that could be harmful to your company or beneficial to a competitor will not be shared externally. If you have any such information I would suggest that you reduct the results to suite the audience.

Here you go, Soha: https://www.projectmanagement.com/videos/4...Lessons-Learned
An anonymous survey should typically be shared (unless literally only one person responded). Lessons learned is a good thing to share.

In my experience, people don't always fill in surveys, the response rate is typically low which is why it's sometimes a good idea to try to get feedback one-on-one and anonymize it in the lessons learned.
