I just recently took the PMI-RMP after recently passing my PMP exam. I used the PMI recommended materials including the PMI RMP Exam Prep. Unfortunately, the exam prep recommended by PMI had very little to do with the actual exam. I hear you both, however, it doesn't answer the question about the content of the exam is outside the scope of RMP. For instance, coding and systems language - just one example. Ultimately that's my concern. The exam posed questions from Agile and other concentrations not detailed in the PMBOK.
Can you please point me to the materials that will help anyone taking the PMI RMP succeed? If programming language for example is a part of the expected knowledge area for RMP, what tools does PMI have to offer that coincide to bring our knowledge base up in that space?
I just spoke to Cindy from PM Star and gave the examples of the exam content and scope issues. She agreed this shouldn't be the case. PMI runs the risk with "bait and switch" tactics like this may lead to a loss in revenue from bad word of mouth and future students looking to better quality certification organziations.
