Hi Team

Hope everyone is well.

I am looking to see if there is an alternative to REP for freelance trainers to teach PMI content? If I were to provide PMP training to aspirants, can I use PMP content? Would a freelancer be able to grant the PDUs formally to the aspirants?

Currently this is done only by REPs who charge a lot for the training they conduct. If a freelancers could be certified by PMP, it can help provide more customized training experience with better focus I think.

Thoughts?

What do you mean "PMP Content"? You can teach PMP prep courses without being part of the REP (soon to be ATP) and grant contact hours and/or PDUs (for folks who have PMI certifications), but these submissions might be challenged or audited for non-REP/ATP providers.

Thanks Kiron for the input. This is helpful. Does being PMP certified automatically make me eligible to grant PDU hours to aspirants based on the training I conduct? How would one do that?

Except for those things which have PMI registration (form example infography or text from the PMBOK) or any other person registration you can use what you want to create your own courses and to dictate them.

There is no dependency between your certifications and your ability to grant PDUs. There are many training companies out there who offer PDUs for their courses without their instructors having any direct affiliation with PMI (e.g. membership or certifications).
